Client From Guangxi Visits Factory For Inspection And Acceptance
A delegation from a leading domestic plywood manufacturer recently visited our production base to conduct an on-site inspection, trial run with their own raw materials, and final acceptance of a custom-engineered veneer dryer. As one of the largest plywood production facilities in China—characterized by a diverse range of raw materials and massive production capacity—the client maintains exceptionally rigorous standards regarding the stability, consistency, and automation capabilities of veneer drying equipment, as well as its long-term operational reliability. Before finalizing this partnership, the client’s team conducted an extensive, multi-dimensional market analysis, evaluating drying equipment from various international brands—including those from Italy and Brazil—alongside our own offerings. Following a comprehensive assessment of processing technology, energy consumption, and long-term operational and maintenance costs, they ultimately selected the veneer drying solution from Shine Machinery.
During the acceptance process, our technical, production, and after-sales teams provided full support, offering a detailed breakdown of the equipment’s structural design, hot-air circulation logic, the underlying architecture of the automated control system, and our comprehensive maintenance and operational support plan. We also performed continuous trial drying runs using the client’s own veneer stock, simulating standard, large-scale factory production conditions to clearly demonstrate the equipment’s performance during prolonged, continuous operation.

This veneer dryer incorporates several proprietary core components, specifically engineered to address the key challenges faced by large-scale plywood plants in high-volume, continuous production. The infeed section utilizes an independently developed automatic veneer feeding system powered by negative-pressure suction. Unlike traditional mechanical pusher or chain-based feeding mechanisms, this system ensures smooth veneer transport, effectively preventing jams, warping, or misalignment. Its robust, wear-resistant, and fatigue-resistant design is optimized for 24/7 continuous production, significantly reducing downtime caused by material jams and minimizing the need for manual on-site intervention. The hot-air circulation system utilizes a distributed fan layout on both sides, creating a balanced airflow throughout the drying chamber. This ensures that wind speed and temperature variations across different zones are kept to a minimum. As a result, both sides—as well as the leading and trailing edges—of the veneers are heated and de-moisturized uniformly. This significantly improves moisture content consistency after drying, effectively preventing issues like delamination, warping, or deformation caused by localized over-drying or under-drying. This stability enhances the yield of finished plywood and accommodates the client’s need to dry veneers from various wood species simultaneously.

A key advantage highlighted by the client is the equipment’s intelligent, closed-loop control system. An integrated, real-time moisture detection unit at the discharge end continuously monitors the moisture content of every individual veneer. This data is automatically transmitted to the main control cabinet, where the system intelligently adjusts fan speeds, conveyor speeds, and hot-air distribution. By dynamically adapting to veneers of varying thicknesses and initial moisture levels, the system eliminates the need for manual sampling and experience-based parameter adjustments. This ensures standardized drying quality, minimizes fluctuations caused by human error, and aligns perfectly with the rigorous quality control systems used by large-scale manufacturing facilities.
The drying chamber is fully enclosed with 10mm-thick insulation panels, providing excellent thermal containment and significantly reducing heat loss. Under steady-state drying conditions, this design lowers fuel consumption and extends the duration of stable temperature zones—balancing high-quality drying results with long-term energy savings. For high-capacity production lines, these energy-efficiency advantages are particularly significant.
Following a series of continuous trial runs, the client verified key performance indicators—including moisture content consistency, the fluidity of the automated processes, operational noise levels, and structural durability. All parameters met the requirements specified in the technical agreement, leading to the successful completion of the acceptance process. The client’s team noted that, when compared to various imported alternatives, Shine Machinery proved better suited to the operational realities of large-scale domestic plywood plants—offering superior process implementation, localized technical support, reliable long-term spare parts availability, and flexible customization capabilities. The successful collaboration with a leading domestic plywood manufacturer—culminating in a smooth project acceptance—serves as a significant milestone, demonstrating that Shine Machinery’s drying technology has earned recognition from high-end clients in the industry. Moving forward, we remain committed to deepening our expertise in veneer drying technology. We will continue to refine core components—such as our negative-pressure feeding system, balanced hot-air distribution system, and intelligent closed-loop moisture control—to provide plywood manufacturers both in China and abroad with stable, intelligent, and energy-efficient veneer drying equipment and comprehensive, integrated drying solutions.
